Happy Health kitchen essentials

Smoothie bowls, nut milks, soups, dips, dressings and many other recipes can be prepared with very little effort!

Happy Health kitchen essentials are the top 5 kitchen appliances that I use in my kitchen daily! I live in a fairly small apartment here in Stockholm so I try to keep my kitchen neat and tidy in order to make cooking as fast and enjoyable as possible. I really do my best to avoid clutter, so to keep my kitchen space free I really have to trim it down and use as few things as I can. Here are my top 5!

Blendtec & twister jar

This is by far the most used machine in my kitchen. I use it daily, not only once but a lot of times up to 3-4 times a day. I can honestly say that this machine makes my life so much easier. I always use it in the mornings, for smoothies or açaí bowls. The twister jar is perfect if you're making smaller batches, even 1 person only. When I eat lunch I often use the twister jar to make a nice and plant based dressing with super nutritious ingredients. There are so many ways to use the blender and for me it has been the best investment for my kitchen and my health by far!

Blendtec

Investing in a high quality blender can dramatically transform the quality of your food and drinks. Smoothie bowls, nut milks, soups, dips, dressings and many other recipes can be prepared with very little effort. The best thing about them is that they are built to last through some serious challenges and also have a very good warranty which ensures you that your money will be well invested.

Juicer

Juicing ranks right at the top of my list for things to do when I have a busy period but still want to be healthy! I tend to juice about 1 to 3 times a week. Sometimes the whole day and sometimes just until dinner time. If I'm doing any workout, I’ll make a juice and bring it in aneco-friendly stainless steel bottle to have afterward. Juicing for me is really a time & life saver and I love the thought of drinking tons of green leafs and vegetables right on the go!

Mandolin

A mandolin is not very expensive and not very important but boy can I save some time and energy! I'm a huge fan of this little machine. It just makes things easier, more efficient and also makes your vegetable cuts look awsome. :P

If you're ever making your own chips, fruit crisps, or any other dehydrated vegetables, a mandolin is wonderfully helpful to get you those slices delightfully uniform.

A good knife

The preparation of just about every meal in my kitchen revolves around my knife. I don't think I would be able to execute one singe meal without a knife and whenever I'm in a kitchen with a bad knife I go crazy! :P Life is just easier with a great knife! Good news though is that good knifes don't have to cost a fortune! I found some of the regular knifes from IKEA to be just fine!

Microplane grater

Microplane makes fabulous graters! I really do recommend them over a generic lemon zester or grater. It works great with everything from lime or lemon zest to spices! Microplane's grater works very well for chocolates, cinnamon, garlic or fresh ginger. I used this little piece of equipment almost every day! But especially when I'm baking!
